We’re passionate about ensuring all individuals in our communities have an equal opportunity to access secure, affordable and sustainable energy required to meet their needs. To keep up with global energy demand and deliver net zero goals, the expected investment in energy infrastructure is estimated to be nearly US$50 trillion between now and 2050.

This is particularly important in the context of decarbonisation. Making sure that new, low carbon technologies have the widest possible benefit to all individuals and the planet. Therefore, decarbonisation should be embraced, as new technologies will drive down costs and provide security of supply and help grow economies.

Jaz Bains is Managing Director of Equity Energy and has over three decades of energy industry experience. Jaz spent his early years developing and financing thermal power generation projects in developing countries and then spent 21 years supporting RES (Renewable Energy Systems) to grow from just 50 people to a global company of over 2,500. At RES, Jaz led the commercial and strategy functions and was pivotal in launching, managing and growing The Renewable Infrastructure Group from £300m at IPO in July 2013 to a portfolio value of circa £4 billion to June 2023.
